Mozilla Thunderbird is a redesign of the Mozilla put in the post-office component. Our goal is to cause a cross platform stand alone mail application using the XUL user interface speech. Our intended customer is someone who uses Mozilla Firebird (or a different stand alone browser) as their radical browser and wants a mail client based on mozilla that "plays tidy" with the browser. In addition, ~ means of focusing solely on stand alone armor, we believe we can make some dents in the overall footprint and execution of the mail client by removing components and chrome we slip on't need. On top of that, the UI becomes much cleaner as a stand alone thing applied as opposed to being part of the mozilla suite.
