Storyline: When the newly-christened starship Enterprise's shakedown sail about goes poorly, Captain Kirk and crew present it into Spacedock for repairs. But every urgent mission interrupts their Earth-confine. shore leave. A renegade Vulcan named Sybok has taken single ambassadors hostage on the planet Nimbus III, each event which also attracts the attention of a Klingon soldier who wants to make a character for himself. Sybok's ragtag host captures the Enterprise and takes it adhering a journey to the center of the splendid assemblage in search of the Supreme Being.
